Call for volunteers

Become part of the Digital Humanism Conference 2025!

Join our volunteer team, support the conference and experience it from the inside.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and curious students to join our amazing volunteer team for the Digital Humanism Conference 2025, taking place in Vienna from 26 to 28 May 2025.

A conference needs many hands and brains—whether you’re up for 1, 2 or for all 3 1/2 days— we’d love to have you on board as one of our tentacles! 🐙

What you'll be doing:

Depending on your interests and availability, you might help with:

  • Welcoming and checking in guests
  • Looking after the cloakroom
  • Supporting sessions and speakers in different rooms
  • Running around (in a good way!) to help keep everything smooth and accessible
  • Social Media support – capturing moments, sharing impressions and quotes

What’s in it for you:

You’ll get:

  • A look behind the scenes of a large international conference concerning a highly relevant topic
  • The chance to be part of a small but passionate team that’s part of a big movement
  • The opportunity to listen in on fascinating talks and meet inspiring speakers
  • Real experience in event coordination and communication
  • >>> A front-row seat to current debates in Digital Humanism!

You can choose one of these two options:

  1. Work one day, attend two days for free
  2. Get paid (details available soon)

Let’s meet up!

There will be a short but important briefing evening in Vienna a week before the conference.

📌  Briefing evening
📅  When: 19 May, 6–8 pm

Attendance is required—it’s the only way to join the volunteer team, and it’s also where we’ll get to know each other, go over all the details, and enjoy some food together. 🍕

Interested?

Send a quick email to Sabine to info@dighum.wien, please include:

  • The day(s) you’re available and willing to volunteer: Sunday evening, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
  • Which model you’d like to go for (exchange or payment – just one, please!)
  • Confirmation that you can join the briefing event on the evening of 19 May.
  • Please specify if you are particularly interested in the social media task.

This counts as your binding application. We’ll review all submissions and get back to you with a confirmation. Please get in contact by the end of April.

We can’t wait to hear from you!
