Open Networks and Democratic Public Spheres
Sandra Barthel is an interdisciplinary Researcher and Policy Advisor. Since two decades, she works at the intersection of academia, politics and society. She promotes open digital infrastructures and digital policy that serves the public good in Europe. She initiated the alliance Open networks and democratic public spheres, which is supported by more than 30 organisations and demands funding and usage of open protocols based social networks. Sandra holds Diploma degrees in Geography as well as in Political Science from University of Vienna, and a Master degree in Journalism and New Media.
