Dr Paula Hidalgo-Sanchis has worked for over 20 years in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, enabling the adoption of innovations and the development of governance frameworks to achieve sustainable development. She holds a PhD in human geography and is a strong advocate for the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) for all. She currently serves as the coordinator of the United Nations (UN) AI Network, and she recently expanded her horizons by authoring the novel “Teaching Machines How To Cry”.
