Dr Clara Neppel is responsible for the growth of IEEE’s operations and presence in Europe, focusing on the needs of industry, academia, and government. She contributes to issues regarding the technology policy of several international organisations and is involved in efforts related to emerging technologies, standardisation, entrepreneurship, as well as societal and environmental implications of technology.
Dr Neppel is also Independent Director of the Supervisory Board of the European Institute of Technology Digital, Co-chair of the OECD Expert Group on AI, Data and Privacy, and Member of the Austrian AI Advisory Board.
She holds a PhD in Computer Science from the TU Munich and a Master in IP Law and Management from the University of Strasbourg.
