Austria Press Agency (APA)
Verena Krawarik is responsible for innovation management at the Austria Press Agency (APA) and heads the APA-medialab. She began her career in journalism and worked for many years in the APA newsroom. Currently, as part of APA’s Trusted AI strategy, she oversees the areas of governance and AI literacy. Since February 2024, she has also been a member of the Austrian Federal Government’s AI Advisory Board, a consultative body tasked with implementing the AI strategy in Austria. The innovation expert is currently involved in projects such as the implementation of the Austrian Lab for AI Trust (ALAIT).
