Georg Niklfeld has been at the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG as group leader Digital for more than twenty years, where his group designs and implements public funding schemes for application-oriented R&D at the national and transnational level, as well as for infrastructure, in particular for fibre broadband networks. His early-career work was in telecommunications, artificial intelligence and technology management. He authored or co-authored approx. 20 scientific publications and holds degrees in computer science from the Technical University Vienna and in technology management from the University of Manchester.
