Contemporary Immersive Virtual Art (Civa)
Eva Fischer is an independent curator, festival director, cultural manager, and lecturer working in the fields of post-digital art, artistic research, and art & technology. Since 2021, she has been directing the media arts platform Civa. In 2007, she founded sound:frame, which became known as Vienna’s festival for audiovisual art and has operated as a network for media art since 2016. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as head of production of the Diagonale film festival, and from 2023 to 2025 as COO of the International Screen Institute. Since 2011, she has taught at various universities and universities of applied sciences in the fields of experimental media and immersive art.
