Milena Vuckovic is Head of a research group for Participatory Visual Systems at the Vienna Research Center for Visual Computing. The Participatory Visual Systems group conducts interdisciplinary research at the intersection of environmental modelling and assessment, interactive visualisation, immersive urban analytics, citizen science, and gamification. The group aims to advance climate-sensitive urban development and climate change mitigation by creating intuitive, accessible immersive and interactive tools that enhance collaboration, communication, and public participation throughout the planning process. The vision is to empower diverse user groups to make informed decisions, encourage collaborative urban planning, and enhance public participation in addressing climate and environmental challenges. Milena studied building physics at TU Wien and holds a PhD in urban climate research from TU Wien.
