Eva Wittenberg is a cognitive scientist and psycholinguist who studies how people understand language. Her research focuses on the mental creation of meaning from language, combining experimental methods with insights from linguistics and psychology to explore how language works in the mind. She has held academic positions in the United States and Europe, including at the University of California, San Diego, and Central European University in Vienna, where she directs the Language Comprehension Lab. Her first popular science book, “Maman, I have a Wackelzahn: mehrsprachig erziehen”, will be published in August 2026.
