Weidong JI is University Professor of Humanity and Social Sciences, President of China Institute for Socio-Legal Studies, Director of Center for AI Governance and Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and also Founding Editor-in-Chief of Asian Journal of Law and Society, Chairman of the Association for Computational Law, China Computer Federation (CCF) as well as Co-Chair of UNU Global AI Network Board. He was Dean and Chair Professor of Law School, Shanghai Jiao Tong University during 2008-2018 and Professor of Graduate School of Law, Kobe University, Japan during 1990-2008. His research areas include sociology of law, comparative law, constitutional law and computational law.
