Claudia Garád is President of Wikimedia Europe and Executive Director of Wikimedia Austria. Garád’s specialty and passion is free and open knowledge in all its multifacetedness. As Executive Director of Wikimedia Austria, she has supported the volunteers behind Wikipedia and their ideas since 2012. She is committed to greater diversity and inclusivity within the Wikimedia communities. Garád also serves on the advisory boards of the Cultural Broadcasting Archives (CBA) of the Austrian community radio stations and the Open Knowledge Maps, and is a co-organizer of the net-political evenings in Vienna.
