WAS JETZT SCHULE

The “Ideenwettbewerb” (ideas competition) on Digital Humanism, organised by WAS JETZT SCHULE, invites students to submit project ideas addressing one of three key topics: hate speech online, the Internet of Things (IoT), or cybersecurity.

An expert jury will select the winning entry, which will be awarded a prize of €600. The winners will also have the opportunity to present their project at the Speak-Out Festival hosted by Futurezone on 17 June 2025.

The prize will be officially awarded during the Digital Humanism Conference 2025 in Vienna.

Submissions are open until 30 April 2025.

DigitalCity.Wien

DigitalCity.Vienna is a non-profit initiative that serves as a strategic bridge between the city administration, the digital economy, industry associations, NGOs, civil society, and research institutions based in Vienna. Its core focus is the targeted networking of these stakeholders around current and forward-looking key topics in the context of digitalisation. Since 2014, the DigitalCity.Vienna community has been actively supporting the development of the digital city through events, exchange formats, and initiatives.

Since 2024, the Digital Humanism Map has been available – a milestone in turning the vision of digital humanism into reality and in pooling the strengths of all those involved.

DigitalCity.Vienna strengthens Vienna’s position as a digital metropolis by means of events, initiatives, and partnerships that promote cross-sectoral networking. The DigitalCity.Vienna community brings together companies, organisations, academia, public administration, and citizens to exchange ideas on shaping the digital city together.

DigitalCity.Vienna also hosts the yearly DigitalDays; the latest edition took place on 22–24 October 2024.
